Frontpage 2003 Inline Frames

I am having a problem with word documents opening in an inline frame on our
company's intranet. Whenever you click on a document on the webpage, it is
supposed to open in the inline frame however, it opens in Microsoft Word.
The target frame is set correctly in the menu bar. I just don't know how to
set it to open in the frame and not Word.

Because that is the way it works.
You can not run an executable inside a web page even in a frame.
If you link to a word doc, it opens in Word,
a pdf opens in acrobat reader, an Excel file in Excel and so on
