I have frontpage 2003 that i purchased at the store.
got a new computer with xp pro 2007.
tried to install fp 2003 on new computer, it would not let me.
after entering product key:
The product key you entered requires a version of ms ofc 97, 2000 or xp to
upgrade....
i think i need some sort of patch or???

You don't need a patch. What you have is not a full version of FrontPage
2003. You have an upgrade version. An upgrade requires you to have Office
97, 2000, or XP, or 2003. The XP is not Windows XP, it's Office XP. It's
asking for you to either have the correct Office program already installed,
or an Office CD handy.

Hope this helps,

I'm sorry. I didn't give the right info.

My new computer came with MS Office Pro 2007. I ordered it that way.

I do have MS Office. Shouldn't that work?

To upgrade you must have a previous version to upgrade from. In the
case of FrontPage 2003, that means you must have a copy of Office
Premium 2000, Office Premium 2002, Office 2000 Developer, Office 2002
Professional with FrontPage, or any version of FrontPage up to FrontPage
2002. Note that Office XP, FrontPAge XP are the same as Office 2002 and
FrontPage 2002 respectively. Office 2007 is NOT a qualifying product -
thought it is a qualifying product for Expression Web upgrade version
(which is the replacement for FrontPage).
