I am looking for web components that will integrate, or I can download into
FrontPage 2003. I should be able to click on "INSERT" and then click on "WEB
COMPONENT" and then select from the components that are available. I am
looking for a specific component. I want to be able to insert a variety of
slideshow images with various attributes of choice. I should be able to
choose various skins or appearances with photo display choices. I should be
able to set time intervals for image viewing and declare image size to appear
with thumbnailing, etc. The Front Page photogallery is just cumbersome and
not appealing and lacks functionality. I want choices in this area available
for FrontPage users. I do like the fact that I can have several
photogalleries on one page. I do not want to be limited to one page = one
gallery. I am in the real estate business and I want to be able to display a
number of photogalleries on one web page and I want the flexability to
determine the look and presentation of a slideshow. For example see:
http://jalbum.net/index.jsp
JAlbum has the flexability for displaying a multitude of slideshow skins
with various options. I want something similar incorporated into FrontPage by
Microsoft, only I do not want to limit the amount of slideshows that I can
show on a web page. I should be able to showcase many slideshows for many
homes on one web page.
I downloaded your FXGalleria from 'xzmedia' to see if it was what I needed,
sorry No! FXGalleria is a neat little program but I cannot see how it would
help a developer or webmaster. I need a WEB COMPONENT, a tool. This tool
needs to be able to integrate with MS FrontPage, just like the photogallery
within the current version of FP 2003. Howeve, this component needs to be
more versatile with design and presentation options. I want to be able to
insert into my web page numerous formats of galleria, slide shows,
presentation slide shows, with buttons and speed selections, and skins for
appearance. The first person to design such a component would have a real
asset for developers that allows flexability for design WITHOUT the
cumbersome and laborious task of Javascript programming. I hate programming
script for a photo intensive web site such as our Real estate web site. The
only solution at present is to purchase a membership to a web service that
utilizes some sort of server based .asp , .php, .cgi, database that interacts
with the Realtor. This is often expensive! So we use FrontPage 2003 to
maintain our own site and it is not as user friendly as the server based
software. We need to at least improve the image presentation of our homes! Do
you feel up to the challenge of providing this tool?
Sincerely,
Steve Newsom
PS. I love Javascripting small scripts to add Dynamic improvements to web
sites such as appearance and navigation. But, I do not want to develop
another application such as the F.P. 2003 web component app. that inserts
photogallery into a web page. I do not have the time. It is all I can do to
add photo's each day to the web site and property listings.
