FrontPage 2003 won't publish

I built my web site in FrontPage 2003 and I'm attempting to publish in the
Remote Web Site window. When I click Publish Web Site, it goes through the
upload process, and the report tells me that it's been published. However,
the arrows are still showing next to the items on the Local Web Site as if
they are ready to publish, there is no status on the remote side and the
pages are not showing when I click on "view your remote web site." I tried it
several times, with a couple of hours in between, but it's just not going
anywhere. Any ideas?

After three days of working on this problem, I've come to the conclusion that
the problem may be with my web host. I had contacted them early on and they
told me to try to directly FTP into the site to see if the files were there.
Since I didn't have an FTP program, I had to download one. When I tried to
connect, it kept telling me that it didn't recognize my password. That made
me wonder if that's why my FP files wouldn't publish. I emailed and called
them again this afternoon and they'll "look into it." I'll let you know what
happens - probably tomorrow.

The host normally assigns a different password for FTP than for HTTP
publishing. Did you ask them?

fergie,

I am having problems very similar to yours. did you ever get your website
to publish using the WebSite window in FrontPage?

No, I didn't. I did find out, however, that the problem was with my web
host's server. Once they fixed it, I was able to update as I always have. I
would open my remote site, double click on the document I wanted to update,
make the changes and save it. It's very simple that way.
