Frontpage and Word form question

I have a website setup for our agency which also includes a secure password
protected section for our outside agents which contains a bunch of travel
related tools, information, forms, etc. for them to use.

Right now, the forms I have created for the outside agents to use is done
right through Frontpage using the forms options (inserting a text field,
check box, etc.). What I don't like about it is that the form on the
webpage looks nice and orderly in the format I like. When the outside agent
submits the form, it is e-mailed to our office. In the e-mail, the fields
in the form are listed one under each other and not in the format that I had
on the agent's site. I've lived with this for two years. I can't stand it.
I wanted to change it.

We also have those same forms in Word format which some agents just fill out
on their PCs, attach it to an e-mail and send it to us. For those that want
to use the agent's site, I thought about putting the Word document into
Frontpage, and then just have Word pop-up when they click on the hyperlink
for that specific form.

However, some agents may not have Word. I thought that those users would be
able to use Word Viewer to be able to fill the form out, and e-mail it to
use. I've tried that, but it didn't work. The form using Word Viewer
doesn't let them fill the form out.

So, my question is this. Is there a way to 1) use the form in Word within
Frontpage so that the outside agents, whether or not they have Word, are
able to fill it out OR 2) is three a way within FrontPage to have a form
e-mailed in a structured format like I have in Word?

Please advise. I appreciate any and all help with this!

1) No. The user would have to have Word
2) You would have use a server-side script (ASP, ASP.net, PHP, etc.) to process the form and then
send it as HTML email.

....another approach could be to create a fillable pdf form that the agents
could fill out and save then email back to you when completed.

Thomas,

Thanks for the reply. Could you point to any type of help or templates that
I could use for the server-side script? I'm not familiar with those.

Thanks!

Rob,

Thanks for the reply. That's an idea I haven't thought of, and I will keep
that one in mind.

Thank you.

This would be something that you would have to learn to code or hire someone to do it for you based
on what is supported by your web host.

I was aware that it was a Viewer only, but thought that one should be able
to fill out the form. I didn't want or need them to save the form.

One can't fill out a form in a viewer only.
