FrontPage Client software

I SUCCESSFULLY published a Web site using the "from local to remote" option
button in FrontPage. I used this address: "http://localhost/WebSiteName".
Now, when I try to open the site, I'm not able to navigate to it. I'm not
finding "localhost" under "My Network Places". When I right click on the
published file in the "Computer Management" dialog box, and select "Open with
FrontPage", I get an error message that reads "You must install FrontPage
Client software. What does this mean? I allready have FrontPage 2003
installed. IIS is installed. FPSE is iinstalled and configured. Thank you.

That error message will always appear from the IIS MMC or IIS section
of Computer Management.

The management console was designed when FP 2000 was out, and for some
reason only identifies particular versions of FP and cannot pick up on newer
FP releases such as FP 2002 and FP 2003.

To open a site, open FrontPage and select File | Open Site and enter in the
URL of the site.

Hope this helps,

Your responce worked for me. My project was not initially showing up in the
"Open Site" dialog box, so I tried your suggestion and manually typed in the
path and name of my project in the "Site Name" text box, and FrontPage found
my project. Thank you very much Mark Fitzpatrick. - Donald Rennie / Student
