Frontpage componets not working in protected subweb

The problem that I am having involves a subweb with a login and password.
Everything works fine for the root administrator, but not for the users with
passwords.
The users are able to navigate the subweb, but certain Frontpage components
do not work due to permissions issues.
The subweb includes a dicussion group and search function.
The users are able to see posted messages, but are not able to post or
search due to not having the permissions. Even though I have given them full
rights over that directory.

How could I get around this problem?
I would like to create a password protected discussion subweb.

Try adding log on locally rights for a user, or interactive login rights.
Usually most user accounts will lack these on a server as technically only
the admin should be able to login and perform certain functions. You can
give them full permissions, but if they lack the proper policy rights the
web server still won't let them perform certain tasks on the server or from
a remote connection. Try one account first to make sure it if works. If it
does, you may want to define a new group that has these rights so that way
you can simply add the required users to the special group and grant
permissions to the group instead of having to change details on a number of
accounts.
