ok, these errors have been driving me crazy, but i just found a
work-around. here's what i did.
1st of all i was getting the "500 t not understood" error - i saw a
post somewhere that the problem might be solved by setting the passive
ftp option. so i tried that. it definitely took care of the "500 t not
understood" error but then i got the "500 st not understood" error!!!
so then i was messing around with the (lack of) publish options in
frontpage, and i noticed that the program was trying to publish to the
ftp site - ftp.mysitename.com -- so instead i set it to publish to
www.mysitename.com instead, and shazaammmm -it is uploading as we
speak!
so i'd suggest trying to publish / upload to the www.yoursitename.com
(or whatever) instead of the ftp.yoursitename.com
hope this helps!!!
