Frontpage for intermediate skills?

S

Steve Landavazo

I am getting ready to purchase a new web design tool that
is user friendly and consider myself a little above
beginnger, or close to intermediate in my skills as a web
designer. I'm still learning but at the same time am
lacking a few basic skills.

Can any of you tell me if Frontpage 2003 is relatively
easy to send to a server. I have a hard time with this and
have been using the help of a neighbor friend to send my
files. Since he has since moved I need a web design tool
(at least for now) that is realtively easy to send.

Thanks for all replies.
Sincerely,
Steve Landavazo

If your server has FrontPage extensions installed, and most do and / or they can be
installed, it's as simple as clicking File > Publish site or web ( depending upon the
version ) and then entering http://yourweb.com clicking ok and then entering your user
name and password.

Without extensions you tell it to publish to ftp://yourweb.com and enter the user name and
password

After you publish the first time FrontPage will remember the address and when your local
web is open you simply click File > Publish

FP is a great tool and if you get a web host that support the FP extensions, then you will have a
very easy time with uploading your content and in general manage your site.
