Frontpage publishing and editing from server problem

Hi

Up until recently I have had no problems updated websites using the
frontpage publishing feature or when trying to edit the website
directly
from the server. However recenlty frontpage keeps saying that i do not
have
the correct permissions, BUT if I re-enter the username and password
LOTS of time I can access
edite and update.

* My ISP is NTL (broadband)
* This problem has only just started and only exists when logged in
through ntl (at home), if I use my (home) laptop at work I have no
problem
* This is happening on both wireless laptop and wired (cat5)
desktop
* by removing router (netgear WGT624) and connecting directly to cable
modem I still get the problem
* Problem exists on both ie6 & ie7 using xp home & xp pro
* Problem exists with firewalls/virus/popups on and off
* FTP(ing) the site does not give the problem, only http

I am now getting stuck and am starting to think it may be a NTL
issue.......

Any thoughts on this issue welcome
Glenn

Glenn,
Check to see if a proxy server exists between you and the web site.
There's a good chance that a proxy setting has changed and this is causing
your issues. That would explain why it doesn't effect you at work, and why
it does affect you at home no matter what your local network configuration
is doing because the proxy sits outside your local network, but between you
and the web site.

Thanks for the advice.

I have contacted the ISP, they have given me new setting for the proxy
server and now the problem has gone.

Thanks for your help
Glenn
