[FrontPage Save Results Component]

J

JimCollins

I have created using the form wizard a simple contacts form which sends info
to a csv file. I have some narrative above the form to explain its' purpose.
It all works except on the website just above the form appears [FrontPage
Save Results Component] It is invisible on the local site in FP except in
code. I have tried deleting the relevent piece of code but this was
overwritten when I saved the page. I use FP to publish the site and FP
extensions are installed ( I have uninstalled and reinstalled them). I know
there is a similar question here but it is totally different I think.
Any ideas? Thanks Jim

Does the form send an email? If so, has the email transport been set up in
the extensions? Your host will give this information.

Ronx, No it merely saves the data in a csv file on the site. I would like the
email option but it seems complicated and I would rather solve this problem
first.

How did you upload the form to the live/remote server via FP's http publishing mode or FTP?

There are 2 forms on that page, the first gives the error, the second
contains all the form fields and buttons.

The first form wraps the phrase
"Please complete this form to receive news update messages:" and all the
form tags should be removed from here.

The second looks OK, and saves the results in _private/form_results.csv

Delete everything between (and including) <form method="POST" and
</form>
but leave
<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="5">Please complete this form
to receive news update messages:</font></p>

That block of code is 5 lines, but may be different in your copy of the
website, since publishing expands the webbots - and I am looking at the
expanded form.
