Frontpage

Hi Mary,

Unless you purchased and installed FrontPage, it is not on your machine. You
can always find out by going into Control Panel's "Add/Remove Programs"
snap-in and see if it is listed. If not, just install it from one of your
CDs (assuming that it came with the computer). Gateway can tell you which
one.

I feel like an idiot! I've been trying to determine if
FrontPage is included in my "Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition" package. It is not listed under "All Programs",
but is listed under System Summary - Office 10
Applications. When I go to FrontPage, in this list, I'm
told that "Microsoft FrontPage has not been started or is
not installed. Install and/or start application and press
F5 to refresh." OK, how do I start or install it? Do I
need to use one of the zillion, still sealed CD's I
received when I purchased my Gateway last Sept. ('03)? I
also have two 2-CD cases - one for Microsoft Office XP
Professional (2002), the other for Microsoft Publisher
(2002), which I received when I took an Intell workshop
last year (I'm a teacher.) I'm now interested in
FrontPage, because I need to create a web site for a grad
course I'm taking. Please help.

Thanks for your response. I checked Control Panel...,
and its not listed. I reinstalled MS Office XP-
Professional(Academic Edition) and that didn't help.
Should I do the same with MS Publisher(Academic Edition)?
I also have two sealed packages - one containing MS
Windows XP(Home Edition), the other MS Windows XP
(Professional). Both say they are for reinstalling my
operating system. No where, on any CD's or their
packaging, does it list its inclusions. I'm truly sorry
for my ignorance. I would be more inclined to experiment
with installing and deleting, except for the piracy
protections. Thanks again for your help.

I used to work for Gateway and I can tell you that they do NOT offer
FrontPage in any of the academic, or OEM, Office packages.
