Hi all,
I have website files that were not designed in FrontPage. However, I'd
like to use FrontPage to make updates to the website. I want to use
FTP to send updated files to the webserver. I can connect to the
server via FTP using 3rd party clients (like WS FTP), and when I use
the SAME FTP server settings in FrontPage I'm able to connect to the
server as well -- I can open up folders, move up and down between
directories, etc. HOWEVER, when I try to transfer a file from the
sever to my local folder, I get the error:
"Could not find a Web server at 'xx.xx.x.xx' on port 21. Please check
to make sure that the Web server name is valid and your proxy settings
are set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the Web
server may be temporarily out of service."
Like I said, I see ALL the files in the Remote Site window...and FTP
works fine using other clients, just not FrontPage. BTW, I have "User
Passive FTP" checked in FrontPage AND in 3rd party clients that I've
had success with. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks!
