I need to write a macro which can open a word document from a remote
server, allows me to change the document on my local machine as if it
were a local copy and then when I close it the changes should be saved
to the remote copy.
I want to open a file abc.doc from a remote server. I want to open and
edit it locally and make changes and i want that when i close that
document the changed abc.doc should overwrite the abc.doc on remote
server. Is this possible
through using a macro and if yes i would appreciate any help i getting
started and if no what is the alternative? Googling for this could not
help me. I dont want to FTP my file every time need to I open and
change it and want this to be done transparently through a macro.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
P.S. I am sorry for posting this again but on the helpdesk group the
reply digressed from my question.
