I am using FrontPage 2003 on WindowsXP-Home edition
domain: http://motzgraphics.com
I am looking for a faster upload of graphic files to my web. In some
tutorials I have been reading I see the statement that FTP for graphic files
might be faster than uploading via FrontPage, but I know that using FTP
could corrupt the FrontPage extensions.
I have access to all my web internet files via my ISP control
panel.[...dangerous, huh?]
My directory structure thru the control panel is:
...root/home/webadmin/motzgraphics.com
Under motzgraphics.com is: cgi-bin
htaaccess
private
images
html
Under html is subweb1
subweb2
vti files:
bin,cnf,log,pvt,txt
If I understand the articles I've been reading correctly, the vti files are
the FrontPage extensions. I have read that someone can FTP to cgi-bin or to
htaaccess without corrupting the FrontPage extensions. So...does this mean
that so long as I am uploading files to a folder above the directory: html
where the FrontPage extensions are, I can safely use FTP.?
I have seen this directory in my control panel and I think it is the correct
FTP folder: ....root/home/lesamm/public_html
