ftp updates

Hi, Can anyone help I have designed a web site using office 2003 publisher &
downloaded it to my host which went fine, but when I try to update my website
publisher goes through the motions but when I check nothing has changed. My
host tech dept says they have checked there side of things and every thing is
o.k so it must be a problem on my side can anyone help.

You mean "uploaded" to the host, right?

Did you clear your browser's cache so you know you aren't viewing cached
pages?

I am not all that clued up on this could you quickly explain " clearing
browser cache " Thanks

I have cleared the browser cache & still no good should I delete the original
files that are saved with the host

I usually recommend deleting old files before a new publish.
