I'm entirely new to MAC and I have a bunch of basic questions. First, I am grading a bunch of term papers and I'm trying to figure out how to make the papers appear across the full screen. Full screen options in Word don't seem to make much difference, and zoom features only make the letters bigger but without expanding the view. There must be an easy answer but I can't figure it out.

Thanks!

Hello Sandylocks;

Welcome to the group & to Mac (note: not all caps :)) in general!

Although somewhat different than Windows you have several options with the
Mac OS. One is to use the lower right corner to drag the doc window to the
size you wish - note the small box in the corner with the diagonal hash
marks... You just can't use the edges or other corners & document windows in
the Mac environment are always "floating" even when maximized.

Also you can use the Window> Zoom Window command to make the window full
screen. The 3 traffic light buttons at the left end of the window's title
bar work similar to the ones at the right end of a Windows window:

The leftmost Closes
The middle Minimizes to the Dock
The rightmost expands or contracts to the last size previously used
