Fullscreen slide mode doesn't work when embed fonts

When I use the 'embed TrueType fonts' checkbox when using "Save As/Tools",
the fullscreen slideshow mode no longer works. It only gives me a black,
blank screen, which then hangs and crashes PowerPoint. I'm using PowerPoint
2000. Any ideas?
