Function formula for simple worksheet

I am new to XL and want to know how to create a function to check that I have
not transposed figures across the page and to balance the page. I have
created my worksheet basically, having the debit/credit and extended out to
the appropriate columns. As I am new to computers I would appreciate it
explained as simply as posssible please. Thanx

What exactly do you want to verify.

You can sum across a row and a column if you want.

I'm not certain what you are asking.
