Function Keys

My Word 2003 (and Excel 2003) have lost the use of all function keys. For
example when I try yo use F4 I get Power Point, and so on.

I am sure that I have done something wrong and would like to reverse the
problem if possible.

Thanks

Paul

It sounds like you are using a Microsoft Keyboard which changes the behavior
of the function keys. Make sure you check the status of your F-Lock key.
IIRC, it needs to be on to enable the traditional use of the function keys.

Perhaps your keyboard has an F-LOCK key and it is unlocked so that now the
function keys are set to an alternative mapping.

Thanks Beth - after I read your and Terry's posts, I checked the key board
and as you thought I had unlocked the F-LOCK key.
