Can you provide any more information?

When you say cell_1 and column_1 do you mean Column A, Row 1 on the Excel
grid?

What kind of change will trigger the next cell to change from T to A? Spell
out a few scenarios for us.

Change from what to what?

Or just a change?

A1 contains the word "hoohah"

In A2 enter =IF(A1="hoohah","T","A")

Or did you have something more generic in mind?

On any change at all you would need event code to update A2 rather than
having a fixed formula as above.

Post back if that's the case.

BTW..............Excel syntax for cell references is Column/Row

A1, A2, B1 etc.

Get used to using that syntax rather than Cell_1 or Cell_2
