function save as /word in XPversion

[Howdie]

When I have a document written and would like to make
another one using 'save as' I have to brake /stop the
function before it has been done as the menues up and
below are flashing during a long time. I mean that it
indicates that there are a lot of copies that are being
made. Do I have some kind of a worm. I have good
protection by Symantec Norton Internet Security.
How can I get a proper action on the 'save as' function?

If you are saying when you use Save as the title bar and task bar
starts flashing then this problem is caused by one of two issues:

If you are using Norton then try disabling the "Office Plug-in" option
since it is known to cause dialog boxes to appear behind the
application window.
In Norton go to "Options" and then select "Miscellaneous" and disable
the Office Plug-in option.

If you are starting Word using the Quick Launch bar then this is a
known bug and it has been corrected in the Office XP SP2 patch. Here
