Function to return Day Name?

Gary Smith

Hello--

Is there a type of date function that returns the Day of
the week, given the date?

something like: DayName(#1/1/04#) = "Thursday"

Anybody? Thanks as always...

Gary,

Try ...

Format([MyDate],"dddd") or Format(Date(), "dddd") or
Format(#1/1/2004#, "dddd")

Sorry, that won't work. DatePart only returns integer values, not text (and
"dddd" isn't a valid parameter for it)
