Functionalities lost with forms authentication

Hello,
anybody knows which functionalities (if any) could be lost by using forms
authentication instead of the Windows one in Project Server 2007? I remember
that in Project Server 2003 when using Project Server authentication
(somewhat similar to the current forms authentication), the PWA pages
regarding issues, risks and documents were unavailable.
Thanks, Angelo

You lose a number of features in the Project Workspace. Because Windows
SharePoint Services relies heavily on Active Directory, only those users
with accounts that use Windows authentication can see all available features
in the Project Workspace. Hope this helps.

Dale, thank you for your kind response.
However a doubt and a question still remain:
- Project Web Access is now completely built on Windows SharePoint Services
and exposes all functions as Web services; I wonder if not only project
workspaces but also normal “operational†pages (such as those in My Work,
Projects, Resources sections) suffer reduced functionalities; the doubt
arises because of a previous post in this community in which it seems that
olap cube data used in data analysis views could be unavailable for forms
authenticated users.
- Which are in detail the features in project workspaces that become
unavailable for said users? I particularly would like to know about those
applied to document management.
Sorry about questions I realize could be answered by a normal testing
environment but I don’t possess it by now and I’ve not been able to find them
elsewhere so I have to rely on those who have experienced the authentication
method in object.
(So) any answer could be helpful.

I don't have the time to do the extensive research you require. I would
suggest that you wait until you have a Project Server 2007 environment and
then do your own testing. Until then, hope this helps.
