functions/processes supported by PPS 12?

I want to implement PPS 12 to perform portfolio optimization. To sell this
idea I need to document the functions/process supported by PPS 12 and
highlight the functionality we want to leverage first. I've looked at all
the documentation online and I cannot find the simple explanation I desire.
Can someone provide a simple list of the functions & processes supported by
PPS12.
