Further Filtering of Taskpad Tasks

OL 2003: I'd like to know how to filter out tasks whose status is "Deferred"
or "Waiting on someone else". I tried doing that by customizing the view and
filtering on "Status Does Not Equal Deferred" and "Status Does Not Equal
Waiting on Someone Else", but that seems to screw up the Taskpad view,
changing it from "Today's Tasks" to "Active Tasks for Selected Days." Is
there a way to accomplish this?

How does that screw up the Taskpad view? It's better to define a view of
your own than to modify an existing one.
