further search question

when i am searching in contacts, can i set up the search
to find only the ones with BOTH categories i am looking
for, rather than the ones with either of the categories i
am looking for? thank you so much for your time!

Try using "cat1 AND cat2" on the More Choices tab in a filtered view or Advanced Find.
