Future appointment shows as Today

I have an appointment that is scheduled for 1/6, but in Outlook Today it
shows under the appointments for Today (1/2). If I move the appointment to
1/7 it no longer appears in Today's list. If I move it back to 1/6, it
reappears in the Outlook's "Today" listing. This happens occasionally, but
I can't pin down why. Any suggestions?
