Fuzzy pngs and jpgs

I created a presentation in PPT 2007 for a client who's using 2003.
Everything's working fine except for the company logo - I've tried both .png
and .jpg, and the client tells me it looks fuzzy and pixelated no matter
which one I use. He's creating the logo in Photoshop - are there certain
settings I should advise him to use, or is this a 2003/2007 compatibility
issue? Thanks.

Thanks Troy,
Great information. I'll go over these settings with my client - I'll bet the
answer is somewhere in your tutorial.

PowerPoint 2007 compresses images. If you want to turn that off for the
logo, delete the one the client complains about. Insert a fresh copy of the
logo. Click on it and look for the compression button (on the left of the
Picture Tools tab). Turn off compression (for this image or for all). Do not
save before you turned off compression, as it is applied when saving.

Best regards,
Ute

Be aware that the compression algorithm of JPEG can introduce fuzz into
high-contrast graphics, of which logos and screen shots are common. JPEG is
designed for photographs. If you take a JPEG and save it as PNG, it won't
clean it up: It's just another format of the same fuzzy file.

Thanks everyone! I forwarded the settings from Troy's tutorial to the client,
and turned off the compression, and it worked! My client is happy with the
logos, and once again, you guys rock - I always appreciate your vast
knowledge and willingness to help.
