I was wondering if anyone knew the cause of the following issue that one of
my user's was having.
Suddenly, when this user began to receive forwarded email messages with
attachments, they began to appear with a windows icon instead of the .msg
envelope icon. If he then tried to open them in Outlook, he received an
operation failed error message. We copied them to his desktop, his desktop
automatically recognizes them as .msg files, they save normally and they open
just fine.
When I forward them to myself they are recognized in my Inbox as messages
with attachments. Message attachment type didn't seem to matter - some were
word and excel, others pdf.
Any ideas as to what would cause this? Running Clean Views and clearing his
Outlook Cache seemed to resolve the problem for now.
Thanks,
AJ
