In a Groove 2007 File Sharing Workspace, my colleague saved a xls file (Excel
2003) with a date/time of 06/30/2008 4:01PM. On 07/01/2008, he opened the
same file on his other PC running Excel 2007 and the date/time changed to
07/01/2008 10:20AM even though he did not make changes or hit the save
button. Before he closed this file, I opened up the same file on my machine
running Excel 2007 to discuss something. After we both reviewed the
spreadsheet, he then closed the file making no changes nor saving, but the
date/time remained 07/01/2008 10:20AM. I then closed the same file without
making changes or saving, however, 5-10 seconds later, "Don's Copy" of the
same file appeared in the same directory. Why did the timestamp change even
though he made no changes/saves? And why did Groove create "Don's Copy" of
the same file even though I made no changes/saves?
