Just bought a G5 to replace a dead powerbook & I am trying to install Office
OSX. However, I originally bought Office 2001 (OS9 version) & then bought an
upgrade to OSX - anybody any ideas how to get out of this ? I can't install
the OS9 version because the G5's have no OS9 & I can't just use my upgrade
disk....
It may be faster than fast, but I can't install the software at the moment
!!

It just needs to see the Office 2001 CD. I'm not quite sure how you do this
with one drive. You might need to make a disk image of 2001 CD.

After checking around a bit....

Try drag and dropping Office 2001 folder to your hd. You don't need to
install OS 9 to install Office 2001. To _use_ it, you would have to install
Classic.
