gaining access to secure sites

I am using windows XP along with internet explorer 6.0.
I am trying to gain access to secure sites for a while
and I can not. I have changed the internet options to
allow such sites but I still cannot gain access. What do
I do?

increase the probability of your getting a useful answer.

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser might be a good place to
start.
