GANTT bar's time scale for printing

In the GANTT view MS Project seems to want to print the whole time scale
starting with the project start. I want to limit the time scale shown on the
printout so that review can focus on the work that is not done. This does
not relate to the zoom, it relates to the start and end for the gantt print
display. I tried filtering the project for a narrower date range but it
still wants to show the whole project time frame even from the start.
