Gantt Chart by Task then by Resource Assignments?

V

variant

Is there any way to view a Gantt Chart by task then by resource assigned?
(the task gantt bar would then show up like the summary task bar)

I've noticed you can apply a combination view with the Resource Usage table
above and the Gantt Chart below which can show you the Resource's task
progress bars in the Gantt Chart, but there appears to be no way to show
multiple resource assignments' progress in one task as bars (I know you can
see the text that resource1 is 50% completed etc.) -- because having the
resource assignment bars would be a great way of tracking progress: when did
resource1 start working on the task and/or skip a few days as compared to
resource2?

Hope you can help, or at least be able to tell me if it is possible or not. :)

Hi,

I'm a bit surprised you don't mention the task usage view which gives you
exactly the information you look for, especially if you insert the Actual
Work rows.

Also, I often advice to never put more than one resource on a task but to
show each assignment as a task (which IMHO gives much better flexibility in
splitting the work among the resources)
