I am importing from a Project 2002 file to create a Gantt that is then saved
as a web page. Two things happen in the import that I would like to know if
they can be overcome. First, I have sorted my task list in Project by
Priority. When imported into Visio, it resorts and displays by WBS. I know I
can drag rows around to resort but why does Visio not respect the sort order?
Second, Linked tasks are imported and do show the link relationship, but the
Gantt does not place the task on the correct date on the chart. Example. The
1st task has a start date of 5\26\2005 and the linked task has a start date
of 7\5\2005, the tasks are aligned properly under their start date in Project
but once imported, the linked task shaows up next to the 1st task. The
properties of the 2nd task are correct in that the dates are correct(7\5) it
just visually aligns in the wrong month. Again, I can drag the linked task to
the correct date, but I sholdn't have to. Ideas?
