Hi all,
I am a bit stumped by something at the moment and am looking for some ideas.
I am trying to figure out a way to look at tasks and resource loading at the
same time, and I can't get eactly what I am looking for.
I can create a combo view with a Gantt on top and resource graph or sheet on
the bottom, but I need to click on a task to see the resources.
Ideally, I would like to see a Gantt on top and a single resource list on
the bottom, with accumulated resource allocation shown versus time. I would
like to be able to scroll in time, and look at resource allocations so we can
make various decisions.
Right now, we have tasks defined on a somewhat macro level. Resources are
tied to tasks, but they are assigned at 100% and can multitask. At the
moment, breaking tasks down into finer steps and/or assigning better
allocation percentages doesn't make sense for our organization.
For us, the accumulated allocations give us guidance for other decisions. A
resource having 700% allocation for a single day probably isn't a real
problem, but 700% allocation for two weeks may be.
Thanks for any ideas.
