Garbled text in forwarded email

When attempting to forward email, all links are converted to lines of
garbled characters.
This just recently started; I didn't knowingly change anything that would
cause this.
I'm running Entourage 2004, ver. 11.4.0 on mac osx, ver 10.5.6
Any help would be appreciated.

When attempting to forward email, all links are converted to lines of
garbled characters.

Your best option to forward complex HTML mail is to use "Forward as
Attachment".

Generally we hear about received messages showing as garbled. You could try
the fix to see if it helps your problem.

In addition to trashing the com.microsoft.browserfont.cache, you can also
try trashing the tasmanbrowser.cache, which will be found in your
~/Library/Caches.

This also happens when replying.
Your suggestion of "forward as attach." works but is less straightforward
than normal way of replying/ forwarding email. I know I have not had to do
this in past. Any other thoughts?
Also, I think possibly the last para. In your reply was for some one else
(?)

Hi Nick,

the recommendation Diane gave you (deleting certain cache files) could solve
your problem. Entourage uses these cache files to display messages; if the
cache files become corrupted, Entourage is not able to display messages
properly. Deleting these files while Entourage is not open will make
Entourage recreate these caches from scratch, so it can't hurt to try this.

I tried closing entourage and trashing the two cache files as recommended,
and then shutdown and restarted my imac but the problem still exists (I
tried replying to a new message received after the recomm. Fix) .
What else can you recommend ?

Your only option might be to "Forward as Attachment". One last test would be
to create a new User in System Preferences and test Entourage there is a new
blank Identity.

Drag some sample emails to the Shared folder for access in the new User for
testing.
