GDI.EXE crash in Word XP under Windows 98

I've come across a strange crash that I'm having problems
trying to find a solution for. I have a system that is
running Windows 98 and had Office XP installed on it. As
well, there has recently been a Canon multi-function
printer installed on this system.

What is happening is that in Word, if the beginning of a
document starts a certain number of lines into the document
(about 15 lines in or so), and you go to print this
document, Word crashes, stating an error with GDI.EXE under
C:\Windows\System (I believe). And it ONLY happens in this
instance. Print a document that starts on the first line,
or even 3-4 lines in, and it prints fine. But not if the
document starts further into the page.

Anyone ever hear of this problem and what might be the
cause and solution for it?

Thank You,

- skubik.

Have you tried updating your video drivers?

Video drivers? No, but I don't see why that would have
anything to do with it. :^/
