GDI Object of Word 2007 reach 10,000

Tony

Once I open my Word 2007, the GDI Object begins to increase. If the Word
application is opened for a long time, the GDI Object will reach 10,000, then
there're some errors popup, and the Interface of Word 2007 becomes abnormal.
As far as I know, the GDI Object should NOT increase if there's no any
interface change, and if it reach 10,000, the interface of the application
will hang. I don't know what cause it increase on my computer.

I didn't find same problem on others PC.

BTW, I have updated the Office SP1, my OS is XP SP3.

Hi Tony,

You haven't added any information since posting this on 21Nov.

What are the exact error messages?

What Ribbon tab is active in Word 2007 and what are the steps you're following that seem to initiate this?

Does it happen in all documents or only certain ones?

How are you monitoring the GDI Object count?

If you start Word 2007 in Safe Mode (hold control key when starting) do you get the same behavior? If not, then check the list of
Add-ins under
Office Button=>Word Options=>Add-Ins
to see what 3rd party add-ins are active.

Have you installed the GDI+ Security update from
