This is a very basic question that has probably been addressed many times, so
I apologize upfront.
We are looking to purchase a laptop for Excel and Word tasks that must be
compatible with the older version (2002/2003) of Office for Windows. Moving
to a Vista Office on a Vista latop is not going to work as we will have
translation problems for some math formulas and some greek letter conversions
even though the documents are saved as doc rather than docx.
So one option is to move to a Mac system which still uses old version of
Office. However, is the Mac Office compatible for the most part with Windows
2002-2003 Office? I knwo that some aspects like trans[arency etc will be an
issue and will not be used, however I am most concerned with table alignment
etc.
Any information is much appreciated.
