General mail failure. when i try to route a message

i get the "General mail failure." when i try to route a
message with excel or word. We are in a windows 2000
server domain. another client with office 2003 has no
problems at all, so im guessing its not the mail system.

What version of Office/Exchange and Operating Systems are you using? Did it
ever work? Does running Detect and Repair help?

Please post the troubleshooting steps you have already taken so we don't
repeat information you have already tried.
