General Protection faults when forwarding faxes with Winfax 10

Miara Transportation Information

Lately I've been getting General Protection faults when trying to
forward a fax via email (Outlook 2002). Everything works fine until I
get to the point where I have to select a contact from the list (looks
to my Outlook address book). Then:

First popup:
Winfax Pro Controller - General Protection Fault
dllmain(): UnregisterClass() failed

Second popup:
Instruction at "0x73dd11c7" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The
memory could not be "read".

There are several processes open at this point:
WDFMGR.EXE
WFXCTL32.EXE
WFMOD32.EXE
and sometimes a fourth process which I do not remember (which makes it
likely that it's the one hanging open)

All these processes must be shut down with Task Manager to proceed any
further, otherwise the same error messages will come up. I then have to
re-start the Message Center and re-enable automatic receive.

If anyone has any ideas on what might be going on I would appreciate the
assistance. I am running Winfax 10 on a Windows XP Pro workstation,
using Outlook to forward email (although Outlook integration, the
viewing of Winfax logs through Outlook, has been disabled because it's
just asking for too much trouble.) A Google search of Usenet has shown
me several responses from Symantec Support personnel but the Knowledge
Base documents they refer to have been removed, and searches on
Symantec's site for "General Protection Fault" brings back hundreds of
unrelated hits, while searches on "dllmain()" or "UnregisterClass()"
bring back nothing.

Thanks in advance.
