Hi,
I am a newbie to infopath, but I am posting here in the hopes that
someone can answer my question definitively. Essentially, I work for a
non-profit organization that ocassionally sends surveys as word
documents or excel files attached to e-mails out to a group of our
partner organizations.
Currently the data is primarily re-keyed when it is received. In some
cases, where we send out Excel files, the data is mapped to an Access
database, but if the survey takers shift the Excel around (i.e. they
botch up a formula or add/remove lines) then it messes our import up.
While we can and have put these surveys online, our partners are more
likely to fill out the attached word doc and send it back than to go
online and take the survey.
I am curious how and if InfoPath would work in this situation? Do you
need an infopath client? Could I create a form in infopath, send it to
my partners, and then take their filled-out survey and sync it up with
a database?
Any help is greatly appreciated. If I am asking and RTFM kind of
question, please point me to the right manual.
Thanks,
