Hi
I am a relative newcommer to Access, having spent most of my time on Excel.
I know that the security on excel, and excel VBA is pretty weak, with many
programs that can easily obtain access to the code via "backdoors" and the
like. Is it fair to say that Access is generally more secure, and if so,
what routes should be taken to make it as secure as possible? I am building
a database that will sit on a standalone PC, not a network, and so anything
I can put in place to protect the database design, and VBA would be ideal. I
know that at the end of the day nothing is totally crackproof, to the
determined and talented individual, but I am "hoping" that there are a few
things that may make it at least harder to crack.
many thanks for any info / pointers,
Dave.
