Hi,

I don't know why the "Generate Code" function in my Visio 2003 is missing. I
could not find it anywhere. What should I do?

Please help. Thanks in advance.

do you have visio enterprise architect edition (came with vs.net). also
understand it generates class libraries not executables.

Yeah, I understand.

I only have Microsoft Visio 2003 Professional Edition with Service Pack 1.
What do I need to do? Should I unistall it and install new copy of visio
which is the Enterprise Edition?

No, you can have them both on the same system. Understand though that the
current v2003ea is really v2002 under the covers so if you intend to do work
on the real v2003 and move it to the visio ea version you will have to save
the file as v2002 format. you also have to live through a (IMHO) rather
annoying process of having them think they need to reinstall each time you
switch between them.

I don't get it. I did save my visio 2003 file to visio2002 document format
but still I don't see any changes. I still can't use the Generate Code
feature. Is there something wrong with what I did? What should do then?

help me understand. You saved the v2003 uml model as v2002 and imported into
v200X enterprise architect edition (without errors). You then followed the
instructions in the help facility and you aren't able to create the class
files.

i don't have v200x AE version. What I have is v2003 only. Correct me if I'm
wrong, this "code gererate" function is truly not available in v2003, ryt?
Thanks for your help. I figure it out at least.
