Generating Visio Gantt from MS Project Data

Is it possible to filter an MS Project plan for key milestones and then automatically generate a visio diagram from that filtered plan? At some point I was under the impression that Visio would build diagrams from other MS office applications. Further, if you build a Visio drawing can you link each shape to specific data in an MS Project task line - such as Task Name, Start, Finish, % Complete? I know that this is all done in Project's network diagramming etc but I have other reasons for wanting to generate it in Visio

Yes, Visio can import data from Project, Excel, or even text files to create
Gantt charts. If you go through the Import Project Data Wizard, there are a
few options regarding which tasks to import.
