Generic Icons for installed applications

All of my application icons have changed to generic icons. How do I change
them back. My change icon button is grayed out.
This is a laptop that came with Vista but was rolled back to XP Pro.

You might want to ask the folks in the Windows XP group instead of here
in the Office applications group for a better response. But you might
try getting TweakUI from Microsoft Downloads and use the fix icons feature.
