In PWA we have created a Resource Center report called Overdue Report,
which filters those tasks that are not completed on time (by resource
and/or project). However, we REALLY want to be able to see generic
resources too in order to measure work and overdues against generic
"departments" (the generics primarily created for substitution
purposes when uploading/creating plans). For example, one PM has been
assigning tasks to these "department-named" generic resources in order
to track tasks on a department vs. person level. Is there a way to
get reporting out of PWA for generic resources? If so, how? Or is
their unavailability still determined to be because they are not
Windows Authenticated? If authentication is the problem, would it be
feasible to have our IS dept create Windows accounts for each generic
resource (just a stab in the dark)? They are currently working on
creating a new AD group just for Project. Or would this create a mess
when substituting actual people resources for generics when uploading/
creating plans?
