Generic Resource Visability

We have an RBS that is several layers deep and I am wondering if I have to
create generic resources in every team or if there is a way to have generic
resources "visible" to all PMs in the organization.

For example:
org
-team a
--team a resources
-team b
--team b resources

If my PMs are at the team a level they cannot "see" the generic resources
unless I put the generic resources at the team a resources level, which
means that team b PMs cannot see them.

Is there to solve this with out creating duplicate generic resources in both
team a and team b?

OK,

I think we figured this one out...

Create Generic Resources and, if desired, add them to the RBS.

Open PWA as an Administrator and browse to Admin | Manage Security |
Categories

Open the category that will need access to the generic resources, for
example My Resources or My Projects category. Select the category from the
grid and click Modify Category.

In the Resources section move the generic resources in the list of resources
under "Resources whose assignments can/cannot be viewed:"

If Project Managers are not permitted to make resource assignments you may
have to enable this by:

In PWA browse to Admin | Manage users and groups | Groups

Select the group from the grid, for example Project Managers. Choose Modify
Group.

In the Categories section select the Assign Resources check box.
